Fusion for Energy has been requested by the ITER Organization to nominate candidates who could be invited by the ITER Organization to provide “Software and Data-Bases Supports” for the Design Office as described in the enclosed document. 

Candidates shall be established in the territory of a Member of Fusion for Energy (EU Member States and Switzerland) and shall have a recognized level of expertise, competence and references in the study field.  

Suitable candidates shall express their interest with the appropriate reference number (Ref 006/ITER/C4N/08/17/FF) and contact information (i.e. company name, address, contact person, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address and web address) by e-mail (ITER-Calls@f4e.europa.eu) quoting the reference number of this call for nominations and not later than on April 9th, 2008

‘Fusion for Energy’ will need highly specialised and qualified staff to work at the cutting edge of fusion technology at its offices in Barcelona. Such staff should normally be nationals of the Members of the Joint Undertaking.

The job positions are also open to Swiss citizens (Switzerland is a long term participant in the EU fusion research programme).

Swiss candidates encountering problems with the eligibility are requested to file their case with the State Secretariat for Education and Research, Berne, Switzerland.

Staff will be recruited directly by ‘Fusion for Energy’ and employed under the Staff Regulations of Officials and the Conditions of Employment of other Servants of the European Communities.
